onswerk architecten is an architecture studio working in architecture, urbanism and the transformation of existing buildings and sites. It is run by three founding partners based in Prague, Amsterdam and Košice.
Operating model
Distributed studio without a single central office. Each partner is responsible for a region. A team is assembled for each project and joined by external specialists as needed — landscape architecture, interior design, engineering, cost planning and project management.
The same team of partners operates through two registrations: Onswerk architecten s.r.o. in the Czech Republic and Onswerk architecten in the Netherlands. Projects in the Netherlands are contracted and invoiced through the Dutch registration; projects in the Czech Republic through the Czech company.

The competition entry for the revitalisation of Béla Bartók Promenade works from a single idea: to restore the axis of the town and give the Church of St George back its urban anchorage.
The city library proposal completes Jirásek Square in Kolín and provides a new public setting for reading, learning, cultural events and community activities.
